Direction (Q. 1 - 5): These questions are based on a code language which utilises letters in the English alphabet. In each question, there is a word written in capital letters, with one letter underlined. For each letter in that word there is a code written in small letters. That code is denoted by 1, 2 , 3 or 4 not necessarily in the same order. You have to find out the exact code for the underlined letter in the word. The number of that code is the answer. Please note that the same letter appearing in the other word(s) may be coded differently.
Direction (Q. 6 - 10): In each of the questions given below, a group of digits is given followed by four combinations of letters numbered 1), 2), 3) and 4). You have to find out which of the four combinations correctly represents the group of digits below. If none of the four combinations represents the group of digits correctly, give 4), ie 'None of these', as the answer.
(i) If the first as well as the last digit is even, both are to be coded by the code for the first digit.
(ii) If the first as well as the last digit is odd, both are to be coded by the code for the last digit.
